I love this fishing rod/reel combo! I bought about 10 of them for work, at various sizes, and ended up buying one for my own personal use. I have the 1.8M (5.91 Feet) option for myself, and it works great for fishing with a circle hook and a night crawler at the Mississippi River or any Twin Cities metro lake. We use the larger options in our BIPOC programming, which also work great.

The reel is super smooth, and the telescoping rod is easy to lengthen and shorten. It’s worth it to purchase the carrying case, as it makes it so much easier to travel with — just pop it into a backpack and you’re on your way! The line and the tackle that come with it are mediocre at best, so I ended up putting different line on all the rods, and have been very pleased. I have wanted a telescoping rod for a long time, and my search is over! While this may not be the first choice among super serious anglers, it is certainly my first choice as someone who casually fishes 6+ times a week.
